Decatur's Logan Tapman recently announced that he has decided to play baseball in college. The Seahawk senior will be heading to the University of Lynchburg in the fall.

St. Michaels short stop and pitcher Josh Sherwood is a 4-year varsity starter will continue his athletic and academic career for Frank Szymanski and the Chesapeake College Skipjacks. The 6'0, 170 Cordova resident does it all on the baseball diamond: a .345 career batting average, has stolen 20 bases in 21 attempts, and holds a 3.29 career ERA on the mound.

Saints Peter & Paul's Kyle Jackson signed his letter of intent to continue his education and play baseball at Eastern University in Davids, Pennsylvania. He will join a program that is led by Scott Renauro, a former assistant at Washington College. Jackson is a left-handed pitcher that will serve the Eagles well. Best of luck to the Church Creek, MD resident.

Easton High School Athletic Director Kurisha Hoffman was voted the District 8 (Bayside) Athletic Director of the Year. She has served as the head of the Easton High School athletic department for six years and has spent the last year as head of Talbot County Public Schools Athletic programs. In addition to her athletic duties, Hoffman has also coached various seasons of volleyball, basketball, and softball at Easton High. Congratulations, the honor is well deserved! North Caroline graduate Chris Curler announced on August 13 that he was heading to Keyser, WV to play baseball and continue his education at West Virginia University Potomac State College. Curler was a pitcher and utility player for the Bulldogs and will likely be a starting pitcher for the Catamounts.

The NFHS has announced the rule changes for the 2022 high school baseball season.
