ShoreSportsMD and OTL To Name MVP's for Each Sports

ShoreSportsMD is proud to announce that they will be naming a MVP for each individual fall sport during the Time Out with ShoreSports podcast on Tuesday, December 20. In addition to the individual sports, they will announce a first team all conference for football. Each MVP will receive a plaque and shirt recognizing the student-athlete as the absolute best in the conference. Make sure you tune into the podcast set to be released on Tuesday December 20, 2022.

Szymanski Commits to McDaniel

Szymanski Commits to McDaniel

Easton's Joe Szymanski was presented the MVP Award by the Golf team at Easton High after a strong season that included a run at the State Tournament. Joe is a multi-sport athlete though and has committed to continue his education and play lacrosse for the Green Terror at McDaniel College in Westminster. Joe will play under the direction of T.C. DiBartolo, who takes over the program for the 2022 season. Best of luck to Joe Szymanski!

Easton AD Kurisha Hoffman Named District 8 Athletic Director of the Year

Easton High School Athletic Director Kurisha Hoffman was voted the District 8 (Bayside) Athletic Director of the Year. She has served as the head of the Easton High School athletic department for six years and has spent the last year as head of Talbot County Public Schools Athletic programs. In addition to her athletic duties, Hoffman has also coached various seasons of volleyball, basketball, and softball at Easton High. Congratulations, the honor is well deserved! Fourteen Bayside Golfers Qualify For States

Congratulations to Kent Island, Decatur, Easton, and JM Bennett for advancing their teams to the Maryland State Golf Tournament. Fourteen individuals advanced on their own accord thanks to a good day on the golf course. Qualifiers are as follows: Kent Island: Holden Cha, Evan Tingwell; Decatur: Sam Boger, Abby Wesche, Kole Kohut, Evan Ogelsby, and Jacon Bauer; Easton: Declan Crouch, Preston Quidley, & Isabella Westerfield; North Caroline: Taryn Brandt; Washington: Hannah Whitelock; Parkside: Cade Buyer; Queen Anne's: Nathan Smith

Queen Anne's Stuns North Bayside Golf Teams

The Queen Anne's County High Lions shot a 158 to score the one stroke win over Kent Island. Easton finished third, thirteen strokes back. Kent Island's Holden Cha and North Caroline's Camden Campbell turned in 37's to tie for the boys individual title. Easton's Isabella Westerfield shot a 46 to edge North Caroline's Taryn Brandt by a single stroke.

Decatur Wins Again in Bayside South Golf

Decatur's golf team carded a 164 today at the challenging Ocean City Golf Club. They were 32 shots better than runner-up Parkside and 41 shots better than JM Bennett. Evan Oglesby continues to rack up the individual boys titles, this time shooting a 37. Decatur's Abby Wesche shot a 48 to lead the girls.

KI Scores 3 Stroke Win Over Easton - NC Leads Individuals

The North Bayside Golf teams got together at Hog Neck Golf Course on a beatutiful monday afternoon. Kent Island carded a 159 as a team to score the win while Easton tallied 162. North Caroline freshman Taryn Brandt won the girls individual title with a 42 while Senior Camden Campbell shot a 35 to lead the boys.

Decatur Golf Wins Another South Match

Stephen Deactur was led by Evan Ogelsby's 40 on their way to their fifth Bayside South team victory. Teammate Kole Kohut and Parkside's Jonathan Lombardo tied for second with 43's. Decaturs Abby Wesche led the girls with a 45 while teammate Sam Boger took runner-up with a 48. Parkside continues to finish second, this time trailing by 17 strokes at Ocean Pines.

South Bayside Golf Meet 3 Results

The River Run course in Ocean Pines proved to be a challenge for the South Bayside teams on Tuesday Aug 31. Decatur's Evan Ogelsby won his third straight boys title with a 41, one shot better than teammate Kole Kohut and two shots better than Parkside's Cade Byer. Washington's Hannah Whitelock and Decatur's Sam Boger each carded a 45 to lead the girls.
