ShoreSportsMD and OTL To Name MVP's for Each Sports

ShoreSportsMD is proud to announce that they will be naming a MVP for each individual fall sport during the Time Out with ShoreSports podcast on Tuesday, December 20. In addition to the individual sports, they will announce a first team all conference for football. Each MVP will receive a plaque and shirt recognizing the student-athlete as the absolute best in the conference. Make sure you tune into the podcast set to be released on Tuesday December 20, 2022.

Easton AD Kurisha Hoffman Named District 8 Athletic Director of the Year

Easton High School Athletic Director Kurisha Hoffman was voted the District 8 (Bayside) Athletic Director of the Year. She has served as the head of the Easton High School athletic department for six years and has spent the last year as head of Talbot County Public Schools Athletic programs. In addition to her athletic duties, Hoffman has also coached various seasons of volleyball, basketball, and softball at Easton High. Congratulations, the honor is well deserved! JM Bennett & Easton Snap The Kent Island Reign in Cross Country

JM Bennett won the Boys Bayside Cross Country title on Wednesday in Cambridge. It was their first conference title since 1982. Easton High Schools girls took top team honors for the first time since 1998. Coming into this years event, Kent Islands boys had won the last 10 titles while their girls were on a 4 year winning streak. Best of luck to all of the runners in next weeks regionals. JM Bennetts Timmy Synowiec won the boys individual title while Kent Island's Sarah Van Ornum took the girls top honors.

Timmy Synowiec & Amber Marshall Win at Mount Decatur

Timmy Synowiec (JM Bennett) set a new record for the boys at Mount Decatur in the South Bayside Cross Country Championships. The senior rolled through the 5K course in a record time of 16 minutes 26.37 second. He beat Decatur's Tristan Dutton (18:20:38) and JM Bennett's Billy Joinville (18:44:14). Decatur's Amber Marshall cruised to the Girls title with a 23:41:53. The freshman beat JM Bennett's duo of Nicole Nieberding (24:38:53) and Zoe Boyd (24:49:77).

Parkside Boys and Girls Win 4 x 100

The Parkside High School boys and girls 4x100 relay teams took 1st place at the Maryland State 2A Track and Field Championships!!! Members of the girls team were: Sanaa Murray, Mayah Thompson, Jaelynn Hudson, and Amanda Ballard. The boys team consisted of Patrick Conteh, Travis Waters, Malachi Watson, and Terrez Worthy.
