Centreville ... The Jospeh W. McCartin Insurance company signed on with Overtime Live for the 2022 high school football season as the official touchdown sponsor. Every time a team scored a touchdown during the broadcast, McCartin Insurance would donate $50 to help alleviate childhood hunger across the mid-shore.
Overtime Live founder and broadcaster Mark Potter said, we were looking for a business that would be willing to help us give back to the community. When I approached Mike McCartin with the idea he immediately said yes."
"Our employees live in this community, and I felt like it was a perfect way to give back. After much discussion, we decided that the money donated goes to charities here on the mid-shore with a focus on helping families feed their children," said McCartin.
There was a total of 92 touchdowns scored over the course of the season, meaning that Jospeh W. McCartin Insurance would donate $4600. "When Mike called to say they were sending a check in the amount of $5000, I was so thankful for their contribution to the Mid-Shore Community Foundation. That money will be distributed to local non-profits that will serve the needs of the families here on the shore," remarked Potter.
