Week 3 Capsule: The top two teams stayed undefeated while we started to get a better idea of teams #3-7. Unfortunately for Easton, they lose their starting QB for the year. It will be tough sledding for them the rest of the way although they still have a good defense, but their offensive line will need to take big strides. They have already begun making changes with bringing up two OGs from the JV team…North Caroline continues to roll with one of the best offensive backfields in the conference and a blitz happy defense…Queen Anne’s got a big win in what still was a fairly defensive game especially in the first half…Snow Hill is out to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2007. Worcester County teams are 6-0 to start the year…Cambridge with the upset win over Parkside last Thursday night although they suffered what could be another big injury to the offense. Remember they have had to play two 2A teams out of their first three to start the season. They have a big 1A matchup this Friday.
Bayside Conference Football Week #3 Power Poll/Game Notes

3. Queen Anne’s (1-2)-The Lions got a 25-19 OT win over Wicomico at home giving new Head Coach Brian Mooney his first win. The Lions led 6-0 at the half as both teams would do a lot more scoring in the 2nd half…Next Game: Friday at James M. Bennett
4. North Caroline (3-0)-The Bulldogs routed the Easton Warriors at home 35-0 on a strong defensive performance especially…Next Game: Thursday at Wicomico
5. Wicomico (1-2)-The Indians fell on the road 25-19 in OT to Queen Anne’s. The Indians trailed 6-0 at the half. Their schedule does not get any easier with the Bulldogs coming to town on a short week for both teams....Next Game: Thursday vs. North Caroline
6. Easton (1-2)-The Warriors fell to North Caroline 35-0. The Caroline defense dominated the Warriors offensive line. Easton was without QB Mikey O’Connor who is out of the year with a collar bone injury sustained in the Wicomico game. RB Dustin Blue also the backup got the start at QB, and we will see if he is the signal caller the rest of the way. Next Game: Friday at Kent Island
7. Cambridge-SD (2-1)-The Vikings defeated 2A Parkside on the road last Thursday night 28-21…QB Blake LaBelle had two TD passes to LaShaun Moody and one to Majestic Jones. (Moody though would leave the game injured and was seen on crutches.) LaBelle’s 2yd TD run and 2pt conversion pass in the 4th quarter would be the difference in the game...Next Game: Friday at Colonel Richardson (This is our ‘Friday Night Lights’ Game of the Week on 94-3 WINX-FM and the WINX-FM App)

12. Kent County (0-3)-The Trojans fell at home Saturday 24-6 to Seaford, DE. Just by the score alone the defense improved from the first two weeks of the season but a tough start the season for the Trojans nonetheless and the task is not any easier against a 2A this week…Next Game: Friday vs. Parkside
13. Washington (0-3)-The Jags lost on the road to an historically good Delmar, DE team 57-0. The Jags will get a chance to lick their wounds and get extra time to get ready for their game in two weeks against fellow 1A Snow Hill. Next Game: Bye Week
